The petitioners undertake to affirm and stamp the petition/application as per the Rules within one month of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

CRAN 1 of 2020 is accordingly, disposed of.

We have been informed that the recording of evidence has been fixed on 7th November, 2020. There was an earlier direction on 3rd September, 2019 by which the trail court was directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date, preferably within one year from the next date fixed before the said court without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the party. In view of the fact that there is evidence connecting the petitioners with the alleged crime and we have been assured by Mr. Ahmed, learned Counsel for the State that the State would not take any adjournment and shall produce the witness for recording evidence on 7th November, 2020, the prayer for bail is rejected. The trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same within a period of one year from the next date fixed before the trial court and shall not

grant any unnecessary adjournment to either of the party. In the event there is no substantial progress in the meantime, the petitioners may renew their prayer for bail.
