Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the Block Land and Land Reforms Officer, Singur being the respondent no.5 in the instant writ petition has not completed a long pending record of rights and correction proceedings for the land and properties belonging to the petitioner. Learned Counsel further submits that a representation was made before the respondent no.5 on 12th August, 2020 but the respondent no.5 has not considered the representation till date.

Mr. Chandi Charan De, learned Counsel appears for the State.

Heard both the parties.

The Block Land and Land Reforms Officer, Singur being the respondent no.5 in the instant writ petition is requested to consider the representation

of the petitioner dated 12th August, 2020 after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and to all other interested parties, if necessary and to pass a reasoned order preferably within a period of ten weeks from date. The decision to be arrived at by the Block Land and Land Reforms Officer is to be communicated to the petitioner as early as possible preferably within a period of two weeks from taking such decision.

With the above direction WPA 7967 of 2020 is disposed of.

Since no affidavits have been invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted by the respondents. There will be no order as to costs.

The parties shall act in terms of the copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court.
