An order rejecting the claim for family pension dated March 6, 2019 is under challenge in the present writ petition.

By the impugned order, the Assistant Secretary rejected the claim for family pension on the ground that, the employee worked for nine years only i.e. less than the qualifying service of ten years.

Despite repeated queries from Court, as to under what provision of law the petitioner is entitled to family pension without having qualifying service, learned advocate for the petitioner is unable to place any such law. In such circumstances, I find no infirmity in this proceeding. The impugned order contains reasons. The impugned order cannot be faulted for breach of principles of

natural justice.

WPA No. 7991 of 2020 is dismissed without any order as to costs.
