In any event, after hearing learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the document enclosed with the writ petition, it appears that the writ petitioner appealed to the appellate authority of the concerned College on 3rd August, 2020 from an order passed against the writ petitioner on 24th December, 2018. There is no explanation for the delay in approaching before the appellate authority. It is also submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the appellate authority has not come to any decision till date.

WPA 8024 of 2020 is disposed of with a direction on the Principal of Berhampore College to ensure that the appeal, which is pending since August, 2020, is disposed of as expeditiously as possible and preferably within four weeks from date.
