Mr. Sayan Sinha ...For the State Respondents This is an application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the writ petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the State authorities in considering his representation dated February 17, 2020 with regard to the application for enforcement of Career Advancement Scheme and other reliefs.

I have heard learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner as also the Mr. Kishore Datta, learned Advocate General appearing on behalf of the State respondents and perused the materials placed on record. Mr. Datta has fairly submitted that the authority concerned may be directed to consider the representation made by the petitioner.

In the light of the above, the Principal Secretary, Department of School Education, Government of West Bengal, Bikash Bhavan, Kolkata, is directed to consider the representation upon granting an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner and thereafter pass a reasoned order within a period 12 (twelve) weeks from date.

The reasoned order should be communicated to petitioner within a week from the date of passing such reasoned order.

I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the case and the respondent Authorities shall be at liberty to proceed in accordance with law.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of.

Since, no affidavit-in-opposition has been called for, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have not been admitted by the respondents.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat copy of the order, if applied for, be supplied to the petitioner on priority basis on compliance of necessary formalities.
