The grievance of the petitioners is that the CPWD has not been remitting the admitted dues on the petitioners' bills, despite the petitioners having performed substantial work on the contract issued to the petitioners by the respondent-authorities. On the previous occasion, that is, on December 21, 2020, when the matter came up for hearing, it was indicated by the respondent-authorities that there were certain deficiencies on the part of the petitioners. Subsequently, such deficiencies were intimated to the petitioners and the petitioners have already signed the necessary papers for disbursement of dues on December 31, 2020.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that, upon the petitioners having signed the necessary papers, the payment of the petitioners is under process and the admitted dues of the petitioners shall be remitted to the petitioners by the end of this month. Accordingly, WPA 8073 of 2020 is disposed of by directing the respondents to disburse the admitted dues of the petitioners on the bills-in-question by the end of January 31, 2021.

In the event the petitioners have any grievance with the amount disbursed, it will be open to the petitioners to prefer a further challenge before the appropriate authority on such fresh cause of action. There will be no order as to costs.
