It appears that the grievances of the petitioner have been addressed. The police authorities have already registered an FIR vide Sundarban Coastal Police Station Case No.201 of 2020 dated October 15, 2020. Nothing further remains to be decided in the writ petition. The police authorities are directed to reach the investigation to its logical conclusion, in accordance with law.
The proceedings arising out of the ex-parte decree shall not be impacted by this order.
This order shall not be construed as an acceptance by this court, of the genuineness of the allegations made by the petitioners. The investigating agency shall act and proceed, in accordance with law, and conduct the investigation, expeditiously in a free, fair and proper manner. The writ petition is, thus, disposed of.
There will be no order as to costs.
All parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
