For the State This is an application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the petitioner is aggrieved by inaction on the part of the West Bengal Information Commission, being the respondent no.4 herein, in hearing the petitioner's second appeal in terms of Section 19(3) of the Right to Information Act, 2005. This appeal had been filed in March, 2020 but till date there has been no hearing granted nor any order passed by the Commission.

In light of the above, I direct the West Bengal Information Commission, being the respondent no.4 herein to grant an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and pass a reasoned order within a period of four weeks. The reasoned order is to be communicated to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of passing of such reasoned order.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of.

Since no affidavit-in-opposition is called for, allegations made in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
