The advocate-on-record for the petitioner undertakes to affirm and properly stamp the petition as per the rules within one month of resumption of normal functioning of the court. The petition is taken up through video-conference on the basis of such undertaking. This is an application for anticipatory bail under Section 498A Cr.P.C. This is an application for anticipatory bail. Only physical harm, that too not very grievous is alleged. The petitioner is the mother-in-law of the victim. The incident took place on 4th February, 2020 and the F.I.R was lodged after eight months i.e. on 16th September, 2020. No steps have been taken against the husband. The victim's sister-in-law and husband are on anticipatory bail.
For those reasons, we allow the said application for anticipatory bail. In the event of arrest, the petitioner will be released on bail upon furnishing security of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) together with personal release bond of equivalent value to the satisfaction of the arresting officer.
The petitioner shall also comply with the conditions laid down in section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure. CRM 7687 of 2020 is, thus, disposed of.
