The petitioner complains of alleged inaction by Bardhaman Police Station in registering FIR in respect of a complaint dated September 15, 2020. The petitioner has also simultaneously written to the Superintendent of Police, East Bardhaman in terms of the decision of Sakiri Vasu Vs. State of U.P. reported in (2008) 2 SCC 409, the petitioner ought to have approached the Magistrate under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Reserving liberty to the petitioner to do so, if his cause of action still remains, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of without any further orders. There will be no order as to costs.
