Petitioner Mr. Kallol Mondal .. for the petitioner Mr. Sudip Ghosh Mr. Bitasok Banerjee ..for the State The advocate-on-record for the petitioner undertakes to affirm and properly stamp the petition as per the rules within forty eight hours of resumption of normal functioning of the court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

The accusation against the petitioner is inter alia, under Section 302/201/34 of the Indian Penal Code. Although he is in custody for about 275 days and the charge-sheet has been submitted, learned counsel for the State submits that there are several serious criminal cases pending cases against him.

In that view of the matter, we are not inclined to grant bail but expedite the trial. Charge has to be framed by the learned court below most expeditiously and the trial concluded by 31st March, 2021. If the trial cannot be concluded, the learned court below will consider releasing the petitioner on bail. The petitioner will also be at liberty to apply before this Court for bail. CRM 7726 of 2020 is disposed of.
