It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he was not in control of the peon book, which was illegally removed and partially destroyed.

Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits that the complicity of the petitioner transpired from the C.C.T.V. Footage, which was seized in the course of investigation. There are materials connecting the petitioner with destruction of public records. The petitioner is a public servant. In view of the gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
