The petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition/application as per Rules within 48 hours of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. Subject to such undertaking, the application is taken up for hearing through video conference. In view of the fact that narcotic items over commercial quantity have been seized from the possession of the petitioner and also having regard to the fact that charge-sheet has already been filed, we are not inclined to grant bail at this stage to the petitioner.

However, we direct the State Drug Control Research Laboratory to make available the chemical examination report of the alleged contraband narcotic items to the concerned investigating officer within a period of two weeks from the date of communication of this order, so as to enable the parties to take appropriate steps in accordance with law.

All parties are to act on a website copy of this order on the usual undertaking.
