We have considered the materials-on-record and keeping in mind the prima facie role of the petitioner in participating in the alleged assault on the victim as appearing from the statement of the witnesses, we are not inclined to grant the prayer for anticipatory bail to the petitioner. The application being CRM 7825 of 2020 is rejected. Trial Court is directed to take necessary steps to consider the issue of framing of charge at the earliest and in the event such charge is framed to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible preferably within one year from the date of framing of charge without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
