Dey ... ... for the State The petitioner who is the resident of Village - Rabidaspur has prayed for a direction to the respondent no.9, the Pradhan, Nandapur-II Gram Panchayet to complete the re-excavation of 556 meters irregation Sech Nala at Rabidaspur out of estimated length of the said canal being 756 meters.

The case of the petitioner is that the respondent no.7 has already sanctioned the requisite amount for reexcavation of the said canal under the MGNREGA Scheme but the respondent no.9 has deliberately not carried out the work. It is pleaded that the completion of the canal work is necessary as the same will facilitate the supply of water of Kansabati river for the farming activities.

Record reflects that the petitioner and the residents of the village have already filed the mass representation dated 14th July, 2020 before the respondent no.4, District Magistrate and Collector, Paschim Medinipur and the said representation has not been decided till now.

Learned counsel for the State fairly submits that there is no objection in considering the petitioner's grievance raised in the said representation.

Hence, we dispose of the present petition directing the respondent no.4 to consider the grievance raised in the representation dated 14.07.2020 and take appropriate steps in accordance with law after giving opportunity of hearing to all the concerned parties. Let this exercise be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
