The petitioner's grievance is that the petitioner's parents have been confined by the private respondents, who are the siblings of the petitioner, at their residence and that the private respondents have been denying the petitioner access to her parents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner lodged a complaint with the police authorities and sought police assistance to have access to her parents.

However, the writ court cannot interfere at the drop of a hat, particularly in the absence of a single sentence in the petitioner's complaint, annexed at page-19 of the writ petition, as to the parents of the petitioner having been confined forcibly or illegally detained by the private respondents.

As such, W.P.A 8314 of 2020 is disposed of by granting the petitioner liberty to approach the police with

a complaint as regards wrongful confinement of the petitioner's parents, if the petitioner so deems fit. In the event such a complaint is lodged, the police authorities shall look into the matter and appropriately deal with it.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
