The petitioner undertakes to affirm and appropriately stamp the petition as per Rules within a month of resumption of normal functioning of the court. The application is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

Having considered the materials on record and the medical examination of the victim showing extensive injury over posterior aspect of the vagina, we are not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. It is submitted that the trial has commenced. Under such circumstances, we direct the learned Additional Sessions Judge at Ranaghat, Nadia to conclude the proceeding as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six months from the date of resumption of the normal functioning of the Court without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.

CRM 7844 of 2020 is thus rejected.
