....For the State The petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition/application as per Rules within one week of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. Subject to such undertaking, the application is taken up for hearing through video conference.

This matter pertains to an incident of the year 2015. Two persons died in course of such incident.

The petitioner now seeks anticipatory bail after having absconded for more than five years. The conduct of the petitioner is such that the prayer cannot be acceded to. In any event, the State refers to an eyewitness statement naming this petitioner as one of the principal assailants. Considering the material against the petitioner and his conduct, the prayer for anticipatory bail is refused. CRM 7882 of 2020 is disposed of.
