The petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition/application as per the Rules within one month of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and a false case has been instituted against the petitioner. Learned Counsel appearing for the State, however, opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

Considering the materials produced along with the case diary and the statement of the witnesses recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure showing prima facie involvement of the petitioner in the alleged commission of offence, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
