The learned advocate for the Bank responding to the Court's query has placed reliance on Clause-B of the advertisement based on which the recruitment was being conducted. He has also placed before the Court the relevant circular governing the recruitment which is dated 31.03.2012. Referring to these two documents which are filed in the paper books today, he states that the prescribed eligibility criteria is 8th standard pass but less than SCC/matriculation; containing a clear stipulation that higher qualifying candidate is ineligible.

The learned advocate for the appellant submits that he requires some time for dealing with this provisions before proceeding with arguments.
