Saloni Bhattacharjee ... for the writ petitioner/respondent By the impugned order the notice dated 14th August, 2020 was stayed for a period of eight weeks. Although the appeal was preferred within a period of eight weeks but was not listed within the aforesaid period. As on date, the order under appeal has lost its force.

It has been submitted on behalf of the University that the said impugned order was extended. However, the said order is not under challenge before us. In view thereof we dismiss the appeal and the application as infructuous leaving it open to the university to take appropriate steps in accordance with law with regard to any order of extension passed in the writ petition pending before the learned Single Judge.

We make it clear that we have not gone into the merits of the order dated 25th September, 2020 since the said order is on date has lost its force and the order of extension is not under challenge.
