Mr. Saptangsu Basu, Mr. Swarup Paul, Mr. Surya Maity, Ms. Amrita Maji, Ms. Mrinalini Majumder, Mr. Anirban Chakraborty ...for the petitioner Mr. Samrat Sen, Ms. Sutapa Sanyal ...for the respondent-authorities The petitioner contends that several bills due to the petitioner from the end of the respondents are pending. Despite representation being given in that regard, it is submitted, the respondents are not taking any action thereon.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondentauthorities submits that many of the bills, copies of which are annexed to the writ petition, are disputed by the respondents.

It is not for the writ court to decide the quantum of actual dues to the petitioner, if any, from the respondents. However, the purpose of justice will be served if the appropriate respondent is directed to

decide on the representation given by the petitioner, as annexed at pages 381 to 386 of the instant writ petition.

Accordingly, W.P.A. No. 8456 of 2020 is disposed of by directing the respondent no. 9 to decide on the representation given by the petitioner, as annexed from pages 381 to 386 of the writ petition, as expeditiously as possible, positively within four weeks from date and to intimate such decision to the petitioner at the earliest thereafter.

It is made clear that the merits of the contentions of the parties, regarding the claims-in-question, are kept open to be decided by the authorities, subject to any challenge that the petitioner may file thereto. The respondents are further directed to disburse the admitted claims of the petitioner after such decision, as directed above, positively within one month from the date of such decision.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities. .
