Although this is an application challenging a judgment and order dated 24th February, 2020 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Third Fast Track Court, Barasat, North 24 Parganas in Criminal Appeal No. 71 of 2018, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner/husband submits that the petitioner would not like to press this revisional application and would instead like to pray for a direction upon the learned trial Court to dispose of the application under Section 23 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act as expeditiously as possible.

It appears that the learned trial Court had earlier granted an interim monetary relief to the wife and the child @ Rs. 5,000/- each per month. The learned revisional Court thereafter allowed on contest the petitioner's appeal, directed payment of Rs. 3,000/- each to the wife and the child per month and the arrears were to be paid within six months and directed the learned trial Court to dispose of the application under Section 25 of the Act within a reasonable time.

I do not find any illegality in the reasoned order passed by the learned revisional Court.

In view of the above and in the interest of justice, the learned trial Court is requested to dispose of the application under Section 23 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties, preferably within a period of six months from the resumption of

normal functioning of the Court.

With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order may be supplied to the parties expeditiously, if applied for.
