The advocate-on-record for the petitioners undertakes to affirm and properly stamp the petition as per the rules within one month of resumption of normal functioning of the court. The petition is taken up through video-conference on the basis of such undertaking.

The learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he is no way connected with the present case. He has been falsely implicated on the basis of the statement made by the co-accused person.

Mrs. Ghosh, learned Advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail and produces the case diary. She further contends that the petitioner's involvement in the present case cannot be ruled out. The petitioner fled away from the spot and that is why the petitioner was not arrested.

Considering the submission as advanced by the learned Advocate appearing for the parties and after going through the case diary, we are not inclined to release the petitioner on bail at this stage.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected at

this stage.

CRM No.8045 of 2020 is disposed of.
