Re: WPA 8527 of 2020 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that his client is single and was proposed marriage by the respondent no. 5. After the petitioner declined the proposal, the respondent nos. 5 to 11 are stated to have made the life of the petitioner miserable and are constantly threatening and harassing her. Counsel for the petitioner also submits that the learned advocate on record for the petitioner, namely, Ms. Bandana Maity has also been threatened by the private respondents. Mr. Raja Saha, learned advocate for the State, shall take instructions in this matter and make submissions on 17th August, 2021 when this matter shall appear in the list.
