Vs.
The State of West Bengal & ors.
,, Mr. Mukteswar Maity .... for the petitioners Mr. Supriyo Chattopadhyay Ms. Iti Dutta ... for the State Affidavit of service filed in Court be kept with the record.
This is an application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the writ petitioners are aggrieved by inaction on the part of the respondent authorities in processing the arrear payment of the petitioners.
It appears from the documents that the school authorities had sent the requsition of the alleged salary in July, 2019 to the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), South 24-Parganas. However, no steps have been taken by the concerned District Inspector of Schools (S.E.). I have heard the learned Counsel for the appearing parties and perused the materials on record.
In light of the above, the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), South 24-Parganas is directed to process the payment of the arrear salaries of the petitioners expeditiously, preferably within a period of two month from date.
With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
Since no affidavit-in-opposition is called for, allegations made in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
All parties are to act on website copy of this order. (Shekhar B. Saraf, J.)
