For the State Respondents In view of the fact that the proceeding before the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer, Bhatar, Purba Bardhaman, regarding correction of the record of rights was held without serving the copy of the application of the writ petitioners upon the private respondents herein and also that the field enquiry reports dated 29.09.2011 and 09.02.2015 suffer from infirmities, we do not find any reason to interfere with the order of remand passed by the Tribunal.

Having regard to the fact that till now the record of rights shows the name of the petitioner as a Bargadar and it is an admitted position that he is in possession of the land in question, the parties are directed to maintain status quo with regard to possession of the land in question till the conclusion of the proceeding before the concerned B.L & L.R.O.

The Block Land & Land Reforms Officer, Bhatar, Purba Bardhaman, is directed to conclude the proceeding within eight weeks from date without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

WPLRT 32 of 2020 is thus disposed of without any order as to costs.

Urgent photostat copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all formalities.
