The petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the petition, which has apparently been filed in public interest, with liberty to file afresh.

The State says that the present petition is not maintainable and, as such, no liberty may be granted to file afresh, though the petitioner is free to withdraw the petition.

WPA 8594 of 2020 is permitted to be withdrawn with liberty to file afresh in the event such fresh petition is maintainable in accordance with law.

There will be no order as to costs.
