The application of the petitioner for renewal of Certificate of Enlistment for Trade, Callings and Professions allegedly forwarded to the office of the License Officer, Howrah Municipal Corporation in September 2020 has not been considered till date. The petitioner prays for consideration of the aforesaid application.

As it appears that the application for renewal of Certificate of Enlistment of the petitioner is pending consideration at the end of the License Officer, Howrah Municipal Corporation, accordingly, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent No.2 being the License Officer, Howrah Municipal Corporation to consider the application filed by the petitioner for renewal of his Certificate of Enlistment, strictly in accordance with law, within a period of ten weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order. The said respondent shall pass a reasoned order

and communicate the same to the petitioner, immediately thereafter.

WPA 8632 of 2020 stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on completion of usual formalities.
