CRM No. 8186 of 2020 (Via video conference) In Re: An application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Ranaghat Police Station case No. 302 of 2017 dated 05.08.2017 under Sections 302 of the Indian Penal Code.

Petitioner Ms. Aindrila De .. for the petitioner Mr. Sudip Ghosh Mr. Bitasok Banerjee ..for the State The advocate-on-record for the petitioner undertakes to affirm and properly stamp the petition as per the rules within forty eight hours of resumption of normal functioning of the court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

This is a case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned advocate for the State says that he is the principal accused.

For the purposes of this application, the accused is in custody for about 1161 days. Charge was framed on 11th January, 2018. Trial has commenced. Out of 13 witnesses 8 have been examined.

Considering these factors we dispose of this application by directing that the trial should positively be concluded by 31st January, 2020, even on a day to day basis.

CRM 8186 of 2020 is disposed of.
