The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for more than one year and although charge-sheet has been submitted, but there has been no progress in the case.
Mr. Ahmed, learned advocate for the State produces the case diary and draws the attention of this court to the statement of the injured as well as the post mortem report of the deceased.
According to the learned advocate for the State the accused was adamant and consistent in inflicting the fatal blows.
We have considered the materials available in the case diary which includes the post mortem report and the statement of the injured.
Having regard to the nature and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to release the present petitioner on bail at this stage.
Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the present petitioners is rejected.
With the aforesaid observations, the application for bail being CRM 8194 of 2020 along with connected application, if any, is, accordingly, disposed of.
