The petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition as per the Rules within one week of resumption of normal functioning of the court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

The petitioner claims that despite the petitioner holding a valid drug licence, the State has sought to proceed against the petitioner. A copy of the drug licence has been appended to the petition. The State says that substantial quantity of contraband was recovered from the petitioner's house. The State says that a drug licence does not allow commercial quantity of contraband to be hoarded by any person.

Considering the gravity of the charges, the petitioner's prayer cannot be acceded to.

CRM 8211 of 2020 is disposed of.
