The petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition as per the Rules within one week of resumption of normal functioning of the court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail over an allegation of assault and the petitioner says that the minor incident has been exaggerated in the charge.

It is evident from the medical report that a grievous injury was received by the survivor. From the nature of injury it appears quite possible that the survivor was lucky and managed to escape an attempt on her life. In the light of the ferocity of the attack, the petitioner does not deserve anticipatory bail. It is also evident that

the charge-sheet has been filed. The petitioner has been absconding for a considerable period.

CRM 8225 of 2020 is disposed of.
