Reference is made to a decision of a Co-ordinate bench of this Court dated April 24, 2019 in W.P. 8474 (W) of 2019. This Court notes that the police have absolutely no role to play in this matter unless specifically directed by a competent authority. The order dated December 30, 2020 issued by the BL & LRO is required to be enforced in accordance with law.

The private respondent also has remedy in this regard.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of without any further order.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
