Petitioners claiming to be the owners of 3 plots of land being LR Plot No.2857, 2857/3119 and 2857/3120, Khatian No.491, Mouza Ranagram, J L No.14, P.S. Kandi, district -Murshidabad, have filed this writ petition stating that although possession of their land has been taken over by the State for constructing a bridge over the river Dwarka, Ranagram, but they have not been paid any compensation. Thus, the petitioners have filed this present writ petition claiming compensation for their land at the present market rate from the State respondents. However, learned counsel appearing for the State respondents have raised an objection to the maintainability of the writ petition. He produced a copy of the deed of sale dated October 16, 2020 wherefrom it appears that the petitioners have sold their aforementioned land to the State respondents at an

agreed consideration and they have also received the payment of the consideration amount.

Under the circumstances, WPA 8750 of 2020 stands dismissed.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Urgent certified copy of this order be immediately made available to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
