The writ petition has been filed with prayers for payment of compensation to the petitioner for the damage caused to the land and the trees of the petitioner, with a further prayer for restoration of the land situated at plot no.998/1619 under Khatian No.654 measuring an area of 10 decimals in Mouza-Basanti, to its original position. Similar ad interim prayers have also been made.

According to the Court, this is not a case of inaction of the police authorities, as the remedy sought for in the writ petition cannot be granted either by this Court or by the police authorities.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. The petitioner is at liberty to approach the appropriate authority in accordance with law.

However, there will be no order as to costs.

All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
