The petitioner alleges that the private respondents are holding the Durga Puja in the Trust property without obtaining any permission from the police.

The private respondents categorically submit that the application for permission is pending consideration at the end of the Officer-in-Charge, Haridevpur Police Station. The private respondents further submit that the permission has been granted in their favour by the Fire Authority, Electric Supply Corporation and the Pollution Control Board.

The Durga Puja ought not to be held in absence of the necessary permission from all the concerned authorities.

The instant writ petition is disposed of by observing that the Durga Puja will not be held by the private respondents until and unless permission from all the authorities are made available to them. W.P.A. 8772 of 2020 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
