The petitioners undertake to appropriately affirm and stamp 17, 2020 the petition as per the Rules within one week of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. The petition is taken up on the basis of such undertaking. The petitioners are the married sister-in-law of the victim and the husband of such sister-in-law. Apparently, the victim committed suicide. The State says that there are witnesses to the effect that the first petitioner tortured the victim for failing to get more money by way of dowry. The petitioners, however, say that they have been residing elsewhere for more than two years.

Considering the fact that the petitioners may not have been involved in the unnatural death of the victim, their custodial interrogation may not be necessary.

In the event of arrest, the petitioners will be enlarged on bail

ar/dns upon furnishing security of Rs. 10,000/- each, with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer. The petitioners will abide by the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) of the Code. CRM 8386 of 2020 is disposed of.
