The petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition as per the Rules within a month of resumption of normal functioning of the court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

The application being IA No. CRAN/1/2020 is disposed of. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is in custody for 900 days and he is not named in the First Information Report. Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the petitioner was identified by the victim during T.I. parade.

Having considered the materials on record and in view of the prima facie involvement of the petitioner in the alleged crime and as the petitioner was identified by the victim in the course of T.I. parade and

in the light of the gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
