Heard the petitioner. Grievance of the petitioner is against sitting tight over his representation dated October 8, 2020 to the Director of Public Instruction, Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal, which appears at page 31 of the writ petition, for compassionate appointment.

Considering the submission of the writ petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the Director of Public Instruction, the respondent no.2 herein, to consider and dispose of the aforesaid representation dated October 8, 2020 in accordance with law by passing a reasoned and speaking order, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner or his authorised representative, within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. The decision once given shall be communicated to the petitioner within two weeks thereafter.

With the above directions, WPA No.8948 of 2020 is disposed of.
