The petitioner has prayed for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to promote him to the post of Tax Collector (UDC).

Mr. Samrat Dey Paul, learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been promoted to the post of Tax Collector vide Memo No.898/DLB/GHT/Promotion/2022 dated 16th August, 2022. A copy of such Memo, which has been filed by Mr. Paul in Court today is taken on record.

Since the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed, upon issuance of the said Memo, nothing survives in this writ petition and the same accordingly stands disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
