Mr. Anil Kumar Chattopadhyaya ...for the petitioners Mr. Sukumar Ghosh, Ms. Moumita Ghosh ...for the respondent nos. 4 to 6 The petitioner complains that the private respondents are encroaching upon their lands. Counsel for the private respondents submits that the portion of land over which they have rights, has been conveyed to them by a deed of gift.

Counsel for the petitioner disputes the same. Be that as it may, the disputes between the private respondents and the petitioners are purely civil in nature and may be adjudicated before the appropriate civil forum.

In the above circumstances, the Gaighata Police Station shall, however, ensure that there is no breach of peace in the area.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
