The petitioner submits that in response to a notice dated 2nd January, 2002 for engagement of 'Part-time Compounder' he participated in the selection process. On being successful, he was issued a letter of appointment on 15th February, 2002. The petitioner submits that he is serving as a Part-time Compounder till date.

The petitioner prays for approval for his service.

The petitioner submits that the service of the Part-time Homeopathic Medical Officer under the Kaiyar gram panchayat was approved in 2011, but steps have not been taken for approval of the services of the 'Part-time Compounder'.

The petitioner made several representations.

None of them have been considered by the authority.

As it appears that the issue in question is pending at the end of the respondents, no useful purpose would be served by keeping the writ petition pending.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of by directing the Sabhadhipati, Purba Burdwan Zilla Parishad to consider the representation made by the petitioner, strictly in accordance with law, within a period of ten(10) weeks from the date of

communication of this order.

The Sabhadhipati shall pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the claim of the petitioner and all points are left open to be decided by the said respondent at the time of consideration of his prayer.

The petitioner is directed to forward the representation submitted by him at the time of communication of this order for quick reference. The respondent no. 5 of the instant writ petition should be read as "Sabhadhipati, Purba Burdwan Zilla Parishad, District-Purba Burdwan".

WPA 9025 of 2020 stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties after completion of all legal formalities.
