Advocate ... for the State The petitioner undertakes to affirm and stamp the petition as per the rules within 48 hours of resumption of normal functioning of the court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

The petitioner claims that the petitioner was a victim and fell prey to a group of persons involved in a job racket. The State opposes the prayer on the ground that the activities of this group have been wide-ranging. It would be in the best of all concerned, including the petitioner, to surrender immediately for the investigation to gain momentum with valuable inputs from the petitioner. There is no doubt that once the petitioner leads the investigating agency to the appropriate places and persons, the investigating agency may be prompted to concur in the petitioner's bail. At this stage, the petitioner's prayer for bail is declined since that would prejudice the further investigation which is immediately necessary to stop this unholy racket.

CRM 8563 of 2020 is disposed of.
