The petitioner undertakes to appropriately affirm and stamp the petition as per the Rules within one week of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. The petition is taken up on the basis of such undertaking. The petitioner cites his several ailments and even a generic recommendation of the State Legal Services Authority. The charges against the petitioner pertain to defalcation of public funds. There is sufficient material against the petitioner and it is undeniable that he was at the helm of the cooperative society at the relevant point of time. The petitioner has resorted to several tricks, including filing a writ petition to obliquely obstruct the conduct of the criminal proceedings. Ultimately, such efforts have come to naught. The State says that crores of rupees have been defalcated and

ar/dns several families have been adversely affected by the acts and conduct of the petitioner herein.

Considering the material against the petitioner, even though it may appear that the petitioner's days may be numbered, he does not evoke sympathy to be granted bail.

CRM 8567 of 2020 is disposed of.
