Advocate ... for the State The petitioners undertake to affirm and stamp the petition as per the rules within 48 hours of resumption of normal functioning of the court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking. The petitioners say that they are the father-in-law and mother-in-law of the deceased. The allegation is that the petitioners demanded more dowry to be brought in. The State says that the petitioners were actively involved in demanding such dowry from the deceased. The State has produced the case diary.

The statements of the witnesses recorded under Section 161 of the Code indicate that the petitioners were persistent in their demand for dowry. However, the allegations are very omnibus in nature. Considering the material on record it appears that the petitioners are entitled to obtain anticipatory bail. In the event of arrest the petitioners will be enlarged on bail on furnishing a security of Rs.
