For the State The petitioner undertakes to appropriately affirm and stamp the petition as per the Rules within one week of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.

The petitioner renews the prayer on the ground that more than four months has elapsed from the previous rejection in July, 2020.

According to the State, the survivor had a relationship with the petitioner, but she broke away only to be threatened by the petitioner thereafter. The State says that photographs of the survivor were morphed and put up on social media. The survivor was portrayed as a prostitute, extortionist demands were made and the survivor was threatened repeatedly. The statement of the survivor is clear and the oppressive acts of the petitioner herein have been categorically narrated.

Though the petitioner maintains that the charges are false, there is credible material that the petitioner put up

objectionable photographs of the survivor on the social media. There can be no latitude shown when a woman's dignity is toyed with by perverted minds.

In any event, there has been no change in the circumstances since the rejection of the petitioner's prayer in July, 2020. The prayer for bail is rejected. CRM 8569 of 2020 is dismissed.
