The writ petitioner prays that she may be transferred out of Malda to a place in and around Kolkata in view of the illness of her minor child. The petitioner is a judicial officer.

The petitioner also filed a writ petition before the Hon'ble Apex Court being Writ Petition Civil No. 247/2021.

Mr. Banerjee, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the High Court Administration, submits that steps have been taken by the High Court Administration for compliance of the order of the Hon'ble Apex Court. He has submitted that the Transfer Committee of the High Court instructed that steps be taken. He assures the court that the matter will be resolved expeditiously and prays for dismissal of the writ petition as the same has become infructuous.

The order of the Hon'ble Apex Court dated February 26, 2021 is set out hereunder:

"We have perused the contents of the writ petition.

The petitioner is a judicial officer working with the West Bengal Judicial Services Cadre since June, 2011. She has a child with a genetic disorder since birth known as Trisomy 21 (commonly referred to as "Down Syndrome").

She has made representations on 15.07.2019 and 05.10.2020 seeking her transfer out of Malda on account of the medical requirements of the special child. The petitioner requested for a posting in or around Kolkata to avail of medical facilities for the special needs of her daughter.

We would request the Registrar (Judicial) of the High Court of Calcutta to look into her representation, and consider the same sympathetically.

With these directions, we dispose of the writ petition.

Pending application stands disposed of."

As the grievance of the petitioner has been taken care of by the Hon'ble Apex Court and appropriate directions have been passed, this writ petition is thus disposed of without any orders. This court expects that the High Court Administation shall expedite the matter.
