Mr. Manoranjan Mahato ... for the State It is submitted by the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner that he has been falsely implicated in the instant case. Victim had committed suicide due to loss of employment due to pandemic condition. Petitioner is in custody for 136 days. Learned Counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the petitioner was last seen with the victim who was assaulted and thereafter hanged. We have considered the materials on record. Allegation of physical assault is supported by injuries noted in the postmortem report.

In view of the aforesaid facts and other incriminating circumstances, we are not inclined in granting bail to the petitioner at this stage.

The application for bail is, thus, rejected.
