Mr. Kabir, Learned Counsel, appears for the petitioner. This is an application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

The matter was mentioned by Learned Counsel for the petitioner on previous dates for listing on an urgent basis. Mr. Kabir, Learned Counsel, who appears today, submits that the mentioning for listing of the matter on an urgent basis was made upon notice to the prosecution side.

Accordingly, today the matter appears in the Supplementary List before the Principal Bench having jurisdiction to hear matters connected to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Mr. Rao, Learned Counsel, appears and submits that the counsel

briefed to appear for the Andaman & Nicobar Administration, Ms. A. Zinu, is not available today due to personal indisposition. On the above personal ground of Learned Counsel as submitted by Mr. Rao, this Court is unable to proceed with this matter. This Court is further informed that that the Regular Circuit Bench is scheduled to hold physical hearings in the Islands on and from the 15th of February, 2021.

Accordingly, let the records of this application be placed before the Regular Circuit Bench in the first week of commencement of its physical sittings, subject to its convenience. Let the records be also transmitted, as and if necessary, in electronic form to the Registry of the Regular Circuit Bench for placing the matter for consideration as directed above.
